26 - 27 June 2006|TCOP Event|Ljubljana, Slovenia
First Treasury Community of Practice Meeting
What we were trying to achieve:
Learning activities
- To learn from and with each other through some community-oriented learning activities
- To adopt a shared framework for a project maturity model with stages and indicators
- To hear from countries that have completed their projects
- To work on cases brought by the participants
- Have cross-over learning between treasury heads and IT directors
Community-building
- To get to know each other and our respective projects, issues, and needs
- To understand what communities of practice are and how the idea is relevant
- To explore what can contribute to each other
- To produce a design for a community
- To develop commitments to a vision
- To commit to key next steps
- To have some fun together
Principles
- To maximize focus on learning about the practice of treasury system reform while still working on building a community
- To be very interactive all the time
- To have time to network and interact informally
- To put as much as the design of the community in the hands of participants
