Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina
The Budget Community of Practice (BCOP) of the Public Expenditure Management Peer-Assisted Learning network (PEMPAL) will hold its annual plenary meeting in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, on April 16-17.
The meeting objectives are to:
- learn about public finance management system and supporting IT tools in Bosnia and Herzegovina
- gather feedback on the new BCOP’s knowledge product on linking strategic planning and budgeting and examine PEMPAL country cases in this thematic area
- examine the preliminary results of BCOP’s thematic survey on the program and performance budgeting practices in PEMPAL countries, benchmarked to practices in the OECD countries
- get familiarized with the use of artificial intelligence and other innovative tools for budgeting-related practices, to be presented by the international organizations
- examine PEMPAL country cases in budget openness
- share developments from BCOP’s activities and collect member countries’ feedback on their priority topics for the BCOP’s FY25 activities
