TCOP Working Group on Use of IT in Treasury Operations held its meeting on April 25, 2024. The main item on the agenda was presentation on the approach of the Treasury of Indonesia to using data analytics in treasury operations. Indonesian Treasury intends to leverage data science and artificial intelligence (AI) to improve financial management, decision making and internal operational efficiency as part of the Big Data project initiated by the Ministry of Finance. Representatives of the Directorate General of Treasury and the World Bank experts working with them joined the session and provided an overview of the progress and plans in this area. The second half of the session was devoted to the update on the progress of preparation of the agenda of the 2024 annual plenary meeting.
