This note was prepared as a learning material on the request of the members of the PEMPAL Treasury COP Cash Management working group and is designed to be of assistance to those countries designing a Service Level Agreement by providing material on which they could draw in preparing it. The document elaborates on the nature of the Service Level Agreements between the Treasury / Ministry of Finance and the Central Bank that cover the treasury services supplied by the institutions to each other in the areas of government cash management, government debt management and monetary policy operations. Service Level Agreements of this kind are rarely published as they usually include commercially confidential information; this note therefore fills a gap in the available information.
