Following the discussions during the TCOP Extended Study Visit to Georgia on September 18, 2025, the World Bank organized a video conference on the Use of AI in Boosting Efficiency and Transparency of Treasury Departments.

The objectives of the videoconference were to:

• showcase the use of AI and other emerging IT in Georgia and Indonesia,
• discuss the relevance of increased use of emerging IT in public sector and by Treasury departments in particular, and
• exchange ideas on how the good international practices could be replicated in other Bank client countries.

The agenda included presentations by Davit Gamkrelidze, Head of State Treasury of Georgia, Ahmad Zakyuddin, Head of Treasury Data Science Management Division, Directorate General of Treasury, Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia, and the Barış Can, Deputy Director General, Ministry of Treasury and Finance, Türkiye, as well as comments by the World Bank experts and open discussions. The event helped to familiarize the World Bank staff with the latest trends in using AI in the treasury context. Interested TCOP members joined the event.
