PEMPAL TCOP Plenary Meeting 2025
On October 13 – 16, 2025, PEMPAL Treasury Community of Practice (TCOP) held an annual plenary meeting in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. The plenary was attended by over 90 participants including over 70 representatives of national treasuries and ministries of finance from 18 PEMPAL countries (Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Georgia, Hungary, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Romania, Serbia, Tajikistan, Türkiye, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan). Representatives of the Korean Fiscal Information Service (KFIS) and OECD joined the meeting as guest speakers.
The meeting was hosted by the Ministry of Economy and Finance and Treasury Service Committee of Uzbekistan. Its main objective was to discuss the latest trends in modernization and digitalization of treasury operations. The participants learned about the experience and prospects of further modernization of the Treasury Service Committee of Uzbekistan, discussed advanced practices in treasury digitalization, including the application of business analytics and AI, and shared their views on including state-owned enterprises into the TSA. The meeting also provided an opportunity for all the participants to exchange the latest information on relevant developments in their countries.
