This virtual workshop will serve to present the outline and the key planned elements/content of the BCOP’s new knowledge product on Practical Content and Communication of Performance Information to BCOP members and to get their comments and feedback to take into account in developing this knowledge product.  

The topic was identified as the highest priority topic for the members for FY26,  based on the members’ discussions and survey. 

This KP is the third in the series of BCOP resources related to performance management from a budgeting perspective. It is in continuation with BCOP’s two recent knowledge products on linking strategy and budget (published here) and using performance information for decision making (published here). The KP will provide guidance on the actual structure, quality, visualization, and communication of performance information itself - what indicators and narratives should look like, how they should be presented, accompanied by sample templates for effective program and performance budgeting. It is developed as a joint KP of BCOP’s two working groups: the Working Group for Budgeting for Development (BDWG), the Working Group for Budget Innovations and Openness (BIOWG).

The workshop outcomes will inform the development of this knowledge product, which will be completed and presented in February 2026.
