First Meeting of Internal Audit Community of Practice

The goal of the workshop, which was co-sponsored by the World Bank Group, the UK Department for International Development and INWENT, was to bring together leading government officials in internal audit from European and Central Asian countries and territories to share their experiences in designing and implementing reforms in the internal audit function in their respective countries or territories. 

By bringing together Heads of Internal Audit institutions and other relevant officials responsible for implementing reform initiatives in this area, the workshop provided an opportunity for countries to benefit from the experiences of countries facing similar challenges.  During the workshop, a new initiative to enhance learning and knowledge development among Heads of Internal Audit institutions and related key officials in internal audit issues in the region was introduced.
