Setting a way forward
Slovenia, Bled
Representatives of TCoP and IACoP Executive Committee met on June 14, 2010, in Bled, Slovenia to discuss in greater detail PEM PAL development planning for 2010-2012, CoP Suggestions for PEM PAL plenary meeting, and sharing of CoP experiences in developing and implementing CoP activities.
The main conclusions of the meeting can be summarized, as follows:
- The existing program will be expanded to include three new products, namely knowledge management (virtual library), study visits, and external experts.
- The plenary meeting is scheduled for Januray 2011. Topics of possible interest to TCoP and IACoP include managerial accountability, relation between external and internal audit, financial management and control, PFM strategy, and links between accounting information and budget implementation. The meeting's final location, format and content are yet to be confirmed.
- For better communication between the CoP members IA CoP reperesentitive demonstrated how WIKISPACES tool is being used. Both TCoP and BCoP members were also encouraged to start using this tool to ensure more effective collaboration.
