The IACOP thematic meetings on Modern Internal Audit (IA) and Financial Management and Control (FMC) - Implementation Challenges brought together 54 practitioners from 21 PEMPAL member countries, along with members of resource team, PEMPAL Secretariat, interpreter’s team, and guests from the communities.
The main objectives of the meetings included exchange of experiences and learning from advanced IA, FMC practices and activities of Central Harmonization Units, and elaborating necessary development recommendations. In addition, the meeting also aided in learning good practices developed by IACOP on internal auditors training and certification, identifying good practices in affectively managing challenges faced in implementing CHU role, as well as deciding on IACOP’s future activities in the area of PIC/FMC.
The Executive Committee members also met prior the meeting to review the IACOP strategy and discuss current and future preparations for implementation of planned activities.

Language: The meetings were conducted in English with simultaneous interpretation into Russian and Bosnian-Croatian-Serbian languages.
